Good news! It's been a stellar 2021

Jenny, Eric and the team at 919 Wines would like to thank you for your support and custom throughout 2021. 

This year we count our blessings: we have had a fantastic vintage, our cellar door has been open again, and our wines have been awarded well.

The vintage of 2021 was that rare unicorn where both quality and yield were exceptional. This was a great relief after we lost our 2020 Durif harvest. We have been extremely lucky and missed any serious damage from two recent hailstorms, and La Niña is bringing plenty of water down the river. We're hopeful that the 2022 vintage will be challenge free!

We have been expanding our team, and welcome Isaah to cellar door along with Seamus, Steve and Alona. The ongoing pandemic has given us the opportunity to change our cellar door experience - for the better we think! We now conduct our tastings out in our garden instead of in the cellar itself, making the most of our delightful Riverland weather. Visitors can still peek inside the cellar to get that authentic winery feeling.

We have also added LIPS ice creams to our menu, made by the Riverland's top chefs and featuring local and indigenous flavours such as quandong (santalum acuminatum), almond, blood orange, lemon and locally roasted coffee. Our wines have been very well received this year: our Classic Muscat and Classic Topaque are top 5 finalists with Winestate Magazine for Wine of the Year, and our Pale Dry Apera was shortlisted. our 2020 Limited Release Vintage Fortified, 2020 Shiraz, Classic Tawny and 2018 Touriga Nacional were all listed as Top in Category, and the Petit Manseng received 4 stars. We continue to submit our wines for review as this is a robust benchmarking activity that helps us to keep bringing you the best wines we can!

We have put together a 6-pack sampler of these stellar wines, and this will be available until the end of the year.
