Gros Manseng, originally called Petit Manseng in Australia, originates from the south of France. This vintage is sourced from our friends at Riverland Vine Improvement Committee, as the difficult season in 2024-25 meant we couldn't source it from Whistling Kite Wines as we normally do. The resulting wine is very delicate, creamy and soft, with pear, lemon and honey notes. We love this with a crackling pork roast, sashimi tuna, or a caramelised onion and blue cheese pasta. Fresh floral and pome fruit flavours predominate when young. Serve chilled.
*IMPORTANT UPDATE
Wine Australia have notified us that Petit Manseng has been mis-identified in Australia. Our Petit Manseng is actually a sister variety called Gros Manseng. Wine Australia have allowed us to sell our labelled stock as it is. As of 2022 vintage release, our wine will carry the correct name, Gros Manseng.
