919 Limited Release Vintage Fortified 750mL

919 Wines

$100.00
Limited Release Vintage Fortified is made only in the very best years when every component is perfect. Our Vintage is a blend of traditional Portuguese and Southern French varieties (Touriga Nacional, Tempranillo, Tinta Cao, Durif and Shiraz), giving a layered and complex wine with great depth and lenght of flavour, and the ability to cellar for many years. Individual vintages can display dense rich characteristics through to elegant integrated flavours. This style can be consumed when young and fresh when it has rich flavours of berry, plum coffe and chocolate. These characteristics change gradually to deeper dark chocolate, coffee and marzipan flavours at about 6 to 8 years of age. The wine can be cellared up to 20 years. Older wines will need gentle decanting to remove sediment and release aroma. We suggest that younger wines are served with Beef Wellington or Black Forest Cake. Older wines go perfectly with chocolate and nut  desserts.
